Dolce & Gabbana Quit Selfridges

Posted on September 4, 2010

D&GAfter speculation it has come to light that D&G have chosen to part ways with one of the top retailers in the world. After frustration at the relocation of their concession in Selfridges, the multi-million pound luxury brand began talks with Selfridges in order to make them aware of a few underlying issues. D&G felt that the store was unable to provide the space required for the brands image and expections, resulting in their departure. Selfridges are making changes to bring newer, brighter and more contemporary labels into their nest and, judging by this, neglecting the classics. The department store’s decision makers have been left a little red in the face. It just goes to show that you shouldn’t mess with the big designers, they don’t have time for it!
