Inspired by banana print wallpaper at the Beverly Hills Hotel in LA, Henry Holland‘s Spring/Summer ’11 collection was revealed to a celebrity studded audience at LFW on Saturday. The afternoon show was set to an excellent soundtrack (think Crystal Castles meets Donna Summer) and included some beautiful pieces that I wouldn’t mind owning myself. The first thing that must be pointed out is the rainbow coloured array of hilariously fluffy earrings! To add a 70’s touch the models wore a pink, blue or green pair depending on a sufficient match to their given outfit. My somewhat rushed notes from the show included; gold, green, blue, pink, yellow, stars, PLEATS, metallic, THE BLUE DRESS!!, flares and a fitted maxi dress to name a few. The blue dress was my favourite piece. A sky blue sleeveless mid length dress made from pleated silk and worn with a brown belt. It was simple and easy to wear, the hemline tiered from short to long front to back. Very feminine and delicate (and no fluffy earrings in sight!) Good show from Holland for SS11, lets hope a few of these get translated to the affordable range he designs for Debenhams!
HH has blogged recently about how you can get your hands on his balls, go here to take a look at the new cover design for the Blackberry Torch phone and find out how to get yours, fluff included!
